ABOUT ME

When I was young, I would always be writing stories, poetry, you name it, I would write. After years of corporate writing, I lost my inner child; writer’s block seemed to be a daily thing. Writing for the machine burned me out because creatively it can be very restrictive; too many approval levels, one dimensional writing, most of it was routine and corporate guidelines.

It wasn’t until the last five years in which I found my inner child once again. I was voluntold to manage the direction of internal communications for the company, motivating fifteen volunteers in doing so. After all these years, the president gave me free reign to turn things around, and establish some form of communications process. It was truly a blessing in disguise.

I set up the new SharePoint site, established workback schedules for articles, event management stuff to support our charities, held creative namestorming sessions, managing e newsletters, formatting e mail blast, banners and posters. It was a lot of fun, most importantly I was writing again. Granted, I did have to learn a few things, like how to make a video and found a new passion, photography. So as I am learning new things, I am starting a blog, writing about lifestyle articles. More importantly, I found my passion again and am highly motivated in pursuing what I do best…write like the wind!
